Ready for Spring?

Ready for Spring?

Spring will soon be upon us and, before you know it, we will be outside enjoying the weather, the wonder, and the excitement of your beautiful pond again.

This brings us to the topic of preparing your pond for spring.  Mother Nature has a fantastic way of preparing natural bodies of water for each new season. Seed and plant catalogs are flooding my mailbox, there is still time to design and plan a potager for the upcoming season. Potagers can help save your food bills and they are a great show piece in the garden... read more...

Vegetable Gardening

Vegetable Gardening

Over the past 2 years I have been able to save about 40% of my annual grocery budget by growing my own vegetables, compared to 3 years ago... read more...

Understanding Algae

Understanding Algae

Ask any pond owner how long they spend letting time slip away just watching their waterfalls, streams, and Koi. I know I could spend an entire day watching ours!

While no one needs a biology degree to own or maintain a water garden, understanding the inner workings of your pond can open your eyes to a whole new world...read more...
